ABOUT US

X2Designs was founded by two McMaster University Electrical and Computer Engineering graduates, who have successfully started and grown multiple tech businesses in Hamilton, Ontario over the past 14 years.  Hamilton, also known as "The Hammer" and "Steel Town" is our home.

Our new design studio and manufacturing facilities are located in the Ancaster Business Park, in the South West end of Hamilton.  We have great local access to Hamilton Harbor and Lake Ontario for easy on water testing.

Why electric boats?  While high powered performance electric cars can now be seen on roads all over Canada and the United States, there is a noticeable lack of electric boats.  Those that are available on the market today are lightly powered, with small batteries, and short run time.  At X2Designs, we're going to change that.

We're designing and manufacturing in Canada the worlds first high powered electric jet boat.  At 25 feet long, with 600 HP from twin 300 HP liquid cooled PMAC electric motors driving twin jet pumps, and with a 200 kWh liquid cooled battery pack built from over 11,000 individual lithium ion 21700 cells, our new electric jet boat aims to impress even the toughest crowds.

Delivering performance like you've never seen before, with a top speed of over 55 MPH (88 KPH) and seating capacity for 13 people.  Time to plane of less than 2 seconds.  0 to 30 MPH (50 KPH) in under 4 seconds.  Wakeboard tower and on-board ballast tanks to throw a monster surf wake are optional.
